This is a sermon from March 2008 that I preached during the period before we lost our former church building and home to the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York. Some in the congregation were wondering about the purpose and necessity of our stand. I preached this sermon to answer those questions. I thought it might be helpful to those in similar circumstances today and, also, hope that it will remind us of God’s graceful provision for us.
